Sarah Abell was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She came to Tennessee to pursue her Bachelor degree in Graphic Design at Watkins College of Art, Design, and Film and her Associates degree in Commercial Photography at Nossi College of Art starting in 2013. She hopes one day to be able to use her Graphic Design and Photography skills together in the web development world.
I have a background in instructional development and sports marketing. I enjoy the process of finding design solutions.
Aaron Johnson was born on his birthday and decided to become an illustrator when he grew up. He has since done illustration for the Chamber of Commerce, CASA, Nashville Scene, Anderson Design Group, and many others. He teaches digital painting classes and one day hopes to ride a Zeppelin.
This Philadelphia native moved from the land of cheesesteaks to the volunteer state at an early age. Her passion for illustration, design, and code rivals her weakness for ice cream, pulled pork, and Cracker Barrel. With a taste for minimalism and a sweet tooth for delicious design, Janey Nak packs a huge cute punch for such a small (4'11 1/2) frame. She is a master of puzzles, influenced by street culture, and a full time cookie-monster. Janey Nak is available for full-time opportunities and freelance projects.
I have a soft spot for hand lettering and a crush on coffee. My work covers a wide range from illustration to web, with print and packaging somewhere in between. Let's meet up at the show!
Originally from Minnesota, Sara brings years of teaching, travel, and hospitality experience to her designs and illustrations. She loves being able to solve visual problems through her designs as well as help businesses solidify their brands. After graduation she hopes to bring her design skills to lifestyle and hospitality design industries.
I was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Memphis, TN when I was eleven years old. I always had a passion for art in many ways since I was a kid. I never thought that I would ever want to pursue graphic design, until my freshman year of college at Columbus College of Art & Design where I was required to take a computer design and typography course. After a few classes I fell in love and knew that it was what I was meant to do and could not see myself doing anything other than that. After a year and a half at CCAD, I transfered to Watkins College of Art, Design & Film which was one of the best decisions I have made in my college career. Working closely with the faculty and students here helped me grow and learn so much in design and really find my niche. I'm interested in many aspects of the design field and I'm very excited for the experiences that are ahead for me.
